Behind the scenes: Bouwart Timber Frame Houses

We visited Bouwart’s factory in Iecava to see how timber frame and modular houses are manufactured for export—and to exchange ideas about AI, operations and international growth.

A Look Inside Bouwart’s Manufacturing Process

Founded on construction experience dating back to 1998, Bouwart manufactures modular and timber frame houses at its factory in Iecava, Latvia. During our visit, Aleksandrs Asejevs and the Bouwart team showed us how their production process works and shared insights from operating in international markets.

Latvian Houses Built for International Markets

Around 95% of Bouwart’s production is exported, primarily to Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Norway. Its work is a strong example of Latvian manufacturing expertise reaching demanding markets across Northern Europe.

Exchanging Ideas About AI and Everyday Operations

Our Founder, Martins Lielbardis, and PM, Alīna Cvetkova, also discussed how manufacturers approach innovation, where AI solutions can support everyday operations and what practical challenges businesses face when introducing new technologies.
