Today a carbon report starts with a request, a collection of figures, a spreadsheet and a set of factors, and starts again from scratch next year. Afterwards the movements already recorded carry their factors, and the report is produced from them.Illustrative hours, not a measurement.
A carbon figure is asked for once a year and assembled from scratch each time. Emissions Report produces it from the movements you already record — the deliveries, the kilometres, the materials — with the factors attached, so the number is there when a customer or a tender asks, and it agrees with last year.
The figure a customer or a tender asks for comes from the movements already recorded, with the assumptions written down beside it, instead of being rebuilt by hand each time somebody asks.
How it runs

Where it does not fit
- regulated reporting with a prescribed methodology, which needs its own scope
- figures depending on data the company does not hold, such as a carrier's own fleet
- one-off questionnaires not worth automating

What we would want to know before committing
- who asks for the figures, how often, and in what form
- which movements or quantities the calculation would rest on
- which emission factors and assumptions are acceptable to the asker
- whether any of it is audited or only read
- see a real request and what was sent back last time
- agree the assumptions with whoever reads the number
- check the underlying movements are recorded well enough to carry it
